Mochicream: Flavored Marshmallows

During my first trip to Mochicream I spotted these colorful marshmallows by the register and snatched up a cup.

The marshmallows come in 3 flavors: strawberry, vanilla and passion fruit.

The vanilla marshmallow honestly didn’t taste like much besides solid spun sugar.

The strawberry had a hint more flavor than the vanilla but not much, I think the powered sugar on top didn’t really work in its favor either.

The passion fruit flavor was strong enough to be memorable. It has a bit of tart to it (my mouth is watering just thinking back on it) and this one was hands down my favorite one!

The marshmallows themselves were very fluffy. As you can see the slices were pretty big and had a few air bubbles in them. I’m no marshmallow pro so I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not but it sure made them heavenly. I loved the consistency and how soft and fresh these tasted.

Next time I’m at Mochicream, I’m definitely picking these up again. I just wish they offered them in just passion fruit!

Archer Farms: Strawberry Slices

There’s this granola from Whole Foods that I really like that has freeze dried strawberries in it and I always find myself picking out the strawberries. And recently a drink I had in Vegas had freeze dried raspberries. As much as I love my freeze dried fruit, I didn’t know if I loved it enough to buy a whole bag.

Then one day, I decided I did.

Aren’t they prettyyyyy? They look like normal sliced strawberries, don’t they? It’s so weird! Well I guess not really, but still, sorta!

If you’ve never had freeze dried berries, let me explain the awesome that they are. It’s sort of like a puffy pillow of strawberry. The flavor is strong and it’s very tarty (seriously, my mouth is watering just explaining this). They don’t have a marshmallow consistency or similarity either, which is why I used the term “puffy pillow”.

Not only that but it’s also kinda good for you! Sure it has 16g of sugar but honestly, what doesn’t?! What surprised me was that it had protein, vitamin C and iron! I’m always on the hunt for food with iron!

I strongly suggest if you’re a fruit fan to try strawberry first! I had apple ones about a year ago and didn’t enjoy them. Which is probably why I was hesitant about these. If you’ve always been curious about these suckers I say go try them out! I got this bag for about $2 at Target, super inexpensive and it’ll last you awhile!
