Someone I know mentioned this place to me awhile ago. I don’t stop by Palo Alto that often unless it’s to get some cupcakes from Sprinkles but I’m always up to discover things in that city.

Paris Baguette is located on University Ave, which is pretty much a whole street/area with lots of shops and places to eat. I love walking around here, it’s like everything clumped up into one laid back area. There are college students everywhere, which makes it feel that much more… what’s the word I’m looking for?

You can’t miss Paris Baguette, it’s located on a corner and it sits right next to The Cheesecake Factory (which honestly, I didn’t even see until I left, the sign was so small).

To start off, M and I picked a pastry each. He wanted to try the hot dog in a croissant and I tried the Curry Croquette. I ended up trading him, both were served cold but the hot dog with the cheese and the flaky croissant? Oh it was divine! The croquette wasn’t at all what I was expecting it to be.

For our meals, M ordered me the BBQ Chicken pizza in hopes that it would be like my favorite from CPK (which was sweet of him to think about, he insisted I get this over everything else I picked haha) and he got the Chicken Mozzarella sandwich. Which again, I traded him. The pizza was good, but a little on the bland side. The sandwich? OMG, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! I’m not a fan of red peppers but the way that they made this sandwich, the peppers are soft and when you bite into the sandwich, it’s like a literally pop of flavor. It’s delicious (but not so delicious at the end of the day and cold)! I will definitely be coming back here for that sandwich!!

Paris Baguette has a wide selection of pastries in their case line. It took me forever to decide which one I wanted and I went with the Strawberry Shortcake. The balls on top are what really pushed me to get it, they’re interesting. Like little cereal balls dipped in strawberry yogurt. The cake itself was probably one of the best strawberry shortcakes I’ve ever had. The cake was moist, the strawberries were fresh and the cream was light.

Paris Baguette also has a large selection of breads and other types of pastries. If you’re ever in the area, I’d suggest you stop by. Even though the place looks fancy, it’s really affordable!
