Someone I know mentioned this place to me awhile ago. I don’t stop by Palo Alto that often unless it’s to get some cupcakes from Sprinkles but I’m always up to discover things in that city.

Paris Baguette is located on University Ave, which is pretty much a whole street/area with lots of shops and places to eat. I love walking around here, it’s like everything clumped up into one laid back area. There are college students everywhere, which makes it feel that much more… what’s the word I’m looking for?

You can’t miss Paris Baguette, it’s located on a corner and it sits right next to The Cheesecake Factory (which honestly, I didn’t even see until I left, the sign was so small).

To start off, M and I picked a pastry each. He wanted to try the hot dog in a croissant and I tried the Curry Croquette. I ended up trading him, both were served cold but the hot dog with the cheese and the flaky croissant? Oh it was divine! The croquette wasn’t at all what I was expecting it to be.

For our meals, M ordered me the BBQ Chicken pizza in hopes that it would be like my favorite from CPK (which was sweet of him to think about, he insisted I get this over everything else I picked haha) and he got the Chicken Mozzarella sandwich. Which again, I traded him. The pizza was good, but a little on the bland side. The sandwich? OMG, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! I’m not a fan of red peppers but the way that they made this sandwich, the peppers are soft and when you bite into the sandwich, it’s like a literally pop of flavor. It’s delicious (but not so delicious at the end of the day and cold)! I will definitely be coming back here for that sandwich!!

Paris Baguette has a wide selection of pastries in their case line. It took me forever to decide which one I wanted and I went with the Strawberry Shortcake. The balls on top are what really pushed me to get it, they’re interesting. Like little cereal balls dipped in strawberry yogurt. The cake itself was probably one of the best strawberry shortcakes I’ve ever had. The cake was moist, the strawberries were fresh and the cream was light.

Paris Baguette also has a large selection of breads and other types of pastries. If you’re ever in the area, I’d suggest you stop by. Even though the place looks fancy, it’s really affordable!

A few weeks ago I was on the search for something new. I had been avoiding Panera Bread for a few weeks because I was just tired of my usual salad (BBQ Chopped Chicken + bacon + egg), I mean I have been having it for the last two years. Sometimes I’ll switch it up and try whatever new sandwich they have or get my Napa Chicken sandwich but usually, I’m in the mood for salad.

I’m a little bit of a sucker for Thai food (I mean, I’m a TOTAL sucker for it) and when I saw posters for their not-so-new Thai Chicken salad I decided to give it a go.

I am so glad I did. I’m obsessed!!!

The peanut sauce on top is sweet but tangy and the soy sauce-ish salad dressing pairs heavenly with it. Also the won ton strips? My favorite part! There’s also edemame in there. Oh my gosh guys, just looking at this picture makes me wish PB was open 24hrs so I could get one right now!

And of course it’s even better paired with my favorite soup, Wild Rice & Chicken (:

So if you’re into Thai food and you’re looking for an amazing salad. Next time you’re at Panera Bread, I suggest giving this a try!

M & I ventured to a new city awhile ago: Danville, CA. I was on the search for a store and was pleasantly surprised that it was part of this super cute plaza that had these ponds and lakes where you could feed the ducks. It also had a string of cute stores, restaurants and sweet shops!

Nothing was really familiar to us in this area (which could be both exciting and stressful), we decided on pizza (can’t go wrong with pizza) and found ourselves at Blackhawk Pizzeria.

I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have pasta, so I got the Meatball Calzone. M got the slice of pizza (don’t remember exactly all the meats he put on it). The Calzone was really good (and I got a cup of maranara sauce to go with it), the cheese was thick and gooey and there was plenty of meatballs! M’s pizza was also really good, the crust was nice and fluffy. And even though it might not look like a lot, it was actually all really filling!

I do plan on stopping by this cute little plaza again and I will definitely be coming back here, hopefully they have my pasta next time :)!
